Out of curiosity, what server (Homecoming, Thunderspy, We Have Cake, etc) and which shard? I was part of the group back in the day, under the character name of OmegaX, though Freedom was more of a second home to me, as being a long-time RPer Virtue was more like home.

Ultimate15

Yeah, could you give us more info/context here?

I haven't played in a while, but may be back in action in a couple of weeks. I have mainly been playing Star Trek Online lately, even though the FR fleet there seems to be mostly dead.....

Are weekly team up nights still going on? One reason I stopped playing is because I was rarely able to participate due to real life, but that may be changing.

If you were RPing in Virtue, then Everlasting is probably the shard you want. Lots of former Virtue players there.
Fully aware of that, I've been playing on Everlasting since I found out about the game being back, around the 15th anniversary-ish, so close to a year now. I was more asking what server/shard the FR SG was on than what server would be best for me in general.

I'm around and willing, just need an invite to our group if anyone sees this. :D

Reason I'm still not back yet is a combination of real life issues AND computer problems. I think something on my computer is going bad. Occasionally it will shut off completely, but strangely only if I am playing games. Has happened several times during Champions Online (and has cost me mission loot....), and a couple times during Shadowrun: Dragonfall, which I picked up during the recent Steam sale. But when I run Android games like Marvel Puzzle Quest and Elvenar through an emulator (Nox; I used Bluestacks originally, but it gave me problems) nothing happens.

Just a guess, but could it be a bad graphics card?  Android emulation might not use it might, but those other games you named would.  I've had a dying graphics card crash my computer cause it to just turn off before.
I am the cat that walks by himself, all ways are alike to me.

I thunk its a combination of my computer being old and the power supply possibly going bad. I had a similar issue before, and having the interior blown out (ie, dusted) and a new power supply installed fixed it. But I also keep having the 100% memory bug happening a lot, despite making adjustments that should fix it. U bnfortunately, I can't currently afford to fix the problems(s) or replace the PC. (It has an outdated Radeon video card; I haven't been able to update the drivers in a little over a year now.)

Have been playing some. But I'm avoiding doing TFs, because I have no confidence that my computer won't shut down on me during it.

I also need to get assistance on two missions. 1. My lvl 8 Warshade can't complete one, because it not only has a red con elite boss in it, but there's a Quantum right next to him. At this point, i just want someone to come in and one-shot everything. 2. My lvl 32 MM (Blue side) can't complete the one where you have to defeat Silver Mantis at the end. I'd rather not outlevel and then return to either. Especially the WS one.

GhostMachine

I really don't know what the developers were thinking when they designed some of the missions.

The mission with Silver Mantis should not be marked as a solo mission. If the NPC heroes in the mission get taken out, which can happen easily, its next to impossible to solo her with most ATs. She's an orange con elite boss, with other enemies close by.

The mission the WS has, the villain in it is red con to begin with. Red cons are beatable if you pop enough Inspirations, but NOT when they put a Quantum right next to him. You can get knocked back to death before even firing one attack.

I hate beating missions like those by outlevelling them, because its a nuisance and will mess up the storyarcs.

(My highest level hero is a 33 MM, by the way. GhostMachine (actually, GhostMachine71 because some thief beat me to the proper name) is only 27. Really wish I hadn't taken over a year off.....)
