So Steam just had another update, and this one has a music player,  while i was checking it out, it scanned through my library, and made playlists of some soundtracks from games...including Benton's TMNT mod! I never knew that The Phantom Bunburyist had made such awesome music before!  this is great to listen to without even playing the game.

Indeed, DM...TPB has made some great tunes for mods (even some fantastic tracks for mods not yet released).

I can definitely agree with that! :P

Yeah, I was super thrilled at the works he composed for my mod (and I can't wait to hear what he's done for Dana!), and it was a very pleasant surprise when he offered to make it for me.  It's a real shame that the rest of the mod won't have his work as well.  Really though, after the awesome job he did on TMNT, I just want him to make the soundtracks for ALL of my mods! :)

I agree, I love his tunes....I wish he had time to whip up a few more, but I'm guessing he's been busy.  He's a talented guy.

Don't forget the royalty-free sites out there.  Most will allow personal use, some will allow limited/non-revenue distribution.  Pretty simple swap for the in-game )FFVTTR) music: just change file name.

My favorite sites are:
http://freeplaymusic.com/index.aspx

http://incompetech.com/

http://freemusicarchive.org/ -- all Creative Common license archive; best option if you're looking for something to share/distribute (just make sure you check the license first)

http://musicbakery.com/  -- by far the best, but also the most restrictive/expensive.  You can download the lo-fi versions for personal use, but I wouldn't put them in mods

Ugh...Freeplaymusic isn't free anymore...Sigh.
