I might have something that suits your needs.  Let me dig out my SFX discs when I return home later today to see what I can find.  Stay tuned.

FOLLOW UP: I have two sounds that you might be able to use.  One is the sound of a motorcycle engine idling (looped); the other is the sound of the same engine idling with a mild phaser effect added to make it sound like a jet engine (yet bike-sized).  What I would need to know is

A. Do you need it looped, or should we hear the doppler effect of the engine moving toward and then away from the listener?

B. If you do not need it looped, how long do you need the sound clip to be?
