I've re-installed FF1 on a new(er) computer, and have alpha channel trouble. I've said in the technical forum that it is inconsistent, but that is not exactly it.

On male alpha (for example-there are others), the alpha in the cape and on the mesh itself does not work in the game (looks fine in Nifscope), but the fins, ears, claws, and such work just fine. So, what is the difference? How do those extra pieces differ from the cape and the mesh? Is it because they are so thin? Because there are so few polygons? Are they created differently?

The information in the alpha properties blocks are the same (I've even removed some and copied new ones in their place-works in Nifscope, still not in the game).

I know that there were some problems people had with the alpha cannel that were never solved, but I'm still trying. I'm gathering information to get a better understanding of waht is going on.
