good or bad?
So, what if someone used the prtscrn method to take top down snaps and turn them into .png image files with no background, and use those pictures as custom imported tokens for a roll20 champions or improvised heroclix game, are there any taboos around doing something like that?
Take snapshots of characters ingame? I don't see anybody stopping you from doing that or why that would be bad.
maybe the tokens don't have the right accreditation or something,
You can do this easily. It would look great!
I was using roll20 back in the summer, but then I switched to Foundry. You need to find a host (or self host) but I like it a bit better.
Just pick a standard size you want your icons to be, and use that as a template. First place a regular sized person in there. Go from that.
Foundry allows for rectangular tokens, but I haven't found a way to get those to change direction properly, so I just go with square with blank spaces on the side.
Sorry, I know this is... oh 2019? Even older than I thought!!! But it's still a good idea, and I hope you have it working!
Oops! You're totally right. My bad.
On the other hand... hey are people playing Heroclix on roll20?
I've actually never played this game. Is it? Is it cool? Is it something people would want to get into?
Wow been off here awhile, I play I think its fun And roll20 makes it free and customizeable
I play heroclix fairly regularly on roll20.
In fact, I just finished setting up tokens for the latest set.
Send me a PM if you want a link to the discord I play on (it's the Coffee & Clix one)
Cool idea!

I'd love to be apart of that
I still have my old Clix in a box and haven't touched them for over 15 years. Kind of neat to use Roll 20. I've never used that since I have Fantasy Grounds for TTRPGs, but neat idea.
For anyone interested in playing clix on roll20 - here is a link to the Discord group I normally play on.
It's run by TLish who runs the Coffee & Clix youtube channel (and facebook group - look him up)
Plenty of info there on how to get started or just ask Tlish - he is friendly and always welcomes new players. (I was playing at his house earlier this week)

Coffee & Clix just finished running a month-long charity tournament on roll20.
Here's a link the finals if you want to see what a roll20 game looks like.

48 players from all over (some international I think) participated. I went 1-2 myself.
As I mentioned, Tlish and I spend time adding tokens for the new sets as they come out to his roll20 rooms, so it's easy to get going.
Tell him abenavides aka Alex aka silveralex sent you :)

I spoke with the coffee and clix guy, he likes my idea of streaming some casual clix with comedic commentary and freedom force talke, he also liked my idea for using the character tool to make token assets to be used as clix, I included a link to the game above, if you want to do a recorded session with me of casual clix and are into the freedom force mesh token them, hit me up on roll20 to play, but also email me at elubet@gmail.com, IG Quest_freely, Twitter: Little_Island89, FB page Younger Gods

Hey, I read that you worked on making FF using the Panda3D game engine and managed to get FF models imported (in 2009). Was there any further progress on that?

thank you all for the meshes, enjoy these tokens for your online table top platforms, its nice to contribute back
Hey my dude, posting the tokens in one thread and explaining why is totally fine, but please stop posting the same link in multiple threads from pre-2018. Giving back is cool, desirable even, but there's no need to flood the board with the same link 20 times. Whoever wants the tokens can get them from here (where it's explained what they are), but posting just the link in threads that have nothing to do with them is confusing and floods the board for no reason.
sorry, I may have reposted in my tired haze, I've been pounding them out, my bad

How do you do it through the computer
