Title: memory crashes in FFvT3R
Post by: jackhart1967 on March 06, 2019, 11:15:27 PM
Guessing there are about a thousand threads on this but I haven't been here in years & I couldn't find what I was looking for.

In the past week or so I've been getting a lot of system memory crashes while in the rumble room or after completing it & setting up for another round.

Today I was also getting the pink bits on characters in the rumble room & having some sound issues as I jump back & forth between character screens & the rumble room.

I am playing FFX3 & I normally play one of the custom watch or team mini mods.

Same kinda thing happened years ago, never did resolve it, quite playing because of it.

Any advice?

The "Pinking" issue is quite common. What was found, is that if there are too many meshes that refer to the same (.TGA/.DDS) files, for example, if you have a bunch of Meshes using Skins named "Male_Basic", then the system gets confused and it puts a strain on the game's memory, which then causes the "Pinking" issue. If you look at Benton Grey's thread for his Marvel Adventures Mod, Page 10 (http://freedomreborn.net/forums/index.php?topic=55729.270), you should find the discussion about it.

As for your memory issue, I'm not completely sure, but try checking this thread out (http://freedomreborn.net/forums/index.php?topic=59969.0). Not sure if it's the same problem you're having, but it couldn't hurt to look.
