Obviously a bunch was edited post-creation, but you'd be surprised just how much was just done using the program.

Edit: Trying out a new organization system, if anyone can think of similar groupings (don't want to have too much overlap though, thus no GPL or FC) that would cover some of the unaffiliated members, I'm cool. This also gives me a goal, because the one before now was the FRmod peeps.

These are pretty sweet! I love that Hero Editor, but my feeble photoshopping skills limit me severely. Also, I never knew what Prem's av looked like.

I second the Freedom Reborn Animated Series idea.

Also: Kommando's coat doesn't appear to have a back... ;)

Technically I use Paint Shop Pro, but no, flesh tone is done purely within the program. A pure Caucasian tone is third from the bottom, second from the right.

Edit: I was going to wait on posting these until I finished one more person's avatar, but after I realized I'd basically end up doing two separate costumes each involving custom work... I decided it'd be better to just post them now, heh.

Let's put it this way... I do, but I also reserve the right to turn requests down or end work on requests without being expected to give a reason. I've had good and bad experiences with requests, and the bad usually makes me give up on projects like this entirely.

98% of the time requests won't be a problem (obviously I'm having such a hard time churning these out, heh) but like I said, bad experiences.

Er, I actally meant my response in terms of avatar creation (this being a thread for avatars and all) but you do realize I'm doing most of this with a flash program, right? You'd be better off playing with it yourself, seeing what you like.

Their characters do, yes. Yami, Mahty, and Sai. Some of you might recognize Mahty from my Influx skins, but Yami and Sai haven't been seen here before (outside of some very bad skins years ago which I want to forget), at least not unmasked.

As far as aesthetics go, I'd prefer to do these things that way (It'd make editing them easier for me, if nothing else) but I can't take these straight from the program, I have to print screen and paste them into PSP. I'd have to manually add the transparency back in, and that would take more time then the actual editing.

I'm trying to be a nice guy here, but really, I'm getting annoyed and those who know me know not a good state for me to be in. I tend to go nuts and flame people. So I am going to clarify something about my "I take requests" statement that, I thought, was rather obvious.

This thread, and all the images I put in it (whether they be from FR or not) are AVATARS. I have about a dozen X-men, I haven't posted them. I could do the rest of my original Influx chars (sans the ones already up here due to them being avatars for me and friends) but I wouldn't post them. Consequently, all requests that I will do in relation to this thread are AVATAR RELATED. If I won't even post my OWN originals here, I'm sure as pizza not doing yours.

Another thing... This thread is for drawn artwork. I've gotten a request for skins in my PM box, I won't say from whom (and I would advise said person not to post a reply here, and don't bother apologizing... I understand, even if it does annoy me) and I flat out do not do that unless I know the person, and/or the character. (For instance, if TUE were to request a custom mesh bit, or Prem an FX piece) In the entire time I've been here, I've think I've taken maybe one skin request (and I still cannot finish it, BTW) and have only completed one contest despite entering several. And in the case of the request and at least one of the contests, I was so drained of creative energy I left shortly afterward.

Now, there is a good possibility of me maybe doing an avatar skin or five because of this thread. I'm an avatar guy, always have been. But the work will be on MY terms, because I want to do it.

Finally had a chance to sit down and really play with this editor. It's quite versatile and got plenty of tools and part, though there is one amusing bug - I switched to a chat window, and as I was typing suddenly one of the parts started dancing around the screen, as it was reacting to the editor's shortcut commands as I hit them in chat. Took me a second to realize what was happening. :)

If anyone's interested, I made MJB pretty close without any PS editing.

once you've gotten the pic onto a host, you copy the "direct" link (for imageshack it's near the top when you put it up, for Photobucket you have to click on the image thumbnail and it's on the right.) and use the forum's image tags (icon that looks like a picture frame on the left side, just above the smileys).

Just to clarify this though... this thread is expressly for avatars. I don't mind you posting your own (I'd love to see it) or your take on some other members, but this is not a general fabrica de herois thread.

There's a key on your keyboard, above and to the right of the letter keys, that says "Print Screen." That takes a snapshot of whatever your desktop looks like. Open up an image editor and paste that image in, then crop the hero out, put it in its own file, and there you go.

Good enough for me. It will be up soon. I know that making copyrighted heroes is a no-no, but since it is classified as fanart, could we hold challenges like they do in the skinning section(Not that i would have prizes, but it would just be for insperation and anyone could put out challenges)?

No, they updated with a bunch of additional extras, it's what inspired me to do the sharkman in the first place.

There are some things that I would like to change, but couldn't figure out. XStream's mask has an almost "X" design in it. And I decided to add the white bands instead of the X Logo... Not sure, might play around with it more later.
